MCAST Fresher’s week
6th to 8th October 2025
From the 6th till the 8th October MHN participated in MCAST Fresher’s week, where we promoted our work and also the training programme that we are doing. During the Fresher’s week our stand was visited by The Ombudsman, The Speaker, The Opposition leader and other members.

Tony Guillaumier Awards

“Transforming Health Through Patient Empowerment.”
In September 2025, MHN launched a a series of 6 training sessions being organised by Malta Health Network between September 2025 and February 2026. Link to these training sessions can be found here: Link to Training sessions
This project has been funded by the Training Initiatives Scheme (TIS) managed by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector (MCVS) supported by the Ministry for Inclusion and the Voluntary Sector (MIV) together with the logistical support of the Malta Medicines Authority and Browns’ Pharmacy and Vivian Corporation as sponsors.

Annual General Meeting Malta Health Network
28th February 2025
On the 27th February MHN held its Annual General meeting for year closing 2024. Annual reports and financial reports were presented and approved by members present. This was also followed up by new board member elections. MHN thanked Mr. Mark Mallia who for the last 3 years was a co-opted member in the board and thanked him for his contribution and also welcomed Ms, Vivien Cassar as a new co-opted member instead of him. Board composition remained the same meaning Ms. Gertrude Buttigieg as chairperson, Mr. Chris Vella as vice- chairperson, Ms. Marcelline Warrington as secretary , Mr,Demis Cachia as treasurer, and Mr.Godwin Micallef, Dr. Christine Balucci, Mr.George Sultana and Ms. Vivien Cassar as board members.
SIS A1.20.24: leaflet launch
10th January 2025
On the 10 th January 2025 MHN launched the SIS project booklet and also launched the Tony Guillauimier awards to its member organisations. For this event a representative from our member organisations was invited and also representatives of MCVS, Hon. Graziella Galea and also Profs Serracino Inglott. This event was held at Life Sciences Park.
