Title: See the person. Not only the diagnosis.
A dementia diagnosis changes many aspects of life, but it does not define who a person is.
People living with dementia continue to have relationships, preferences, experiences and strengths that deserve to be recognised and respected.
The experiences shared through the Dementia Awareness Questionnaire remind us that reducing stigma begins by seeing the individual beyond the diagnosis.
Together, we can help create communities where everyone feels included, valued and able to belong.
