The Malta Dementia Society were the winners of the First edition of the Tony Guillaumier Award 2025.
The Tony Guillaumier Award is a recognition and celebration of the work of organizations actively working in the field of health in general and active participation in the work of the Malta Health Network (MHN).
The aim of this award is to recognize work done by voluntary organizations towards the health and well-being of the community. It also aims at creating awareness of the exemplary values displayed by organizations with the goal of proposing role models to the wider society, to recognize their important contributions made in various health related fields and also to showcase their collaboration with the MHN.
The MHN celebrated its 15 years since its foundation in 2023. During this occasion, Mr. Tony Guillaumier, first Chairperson and co-founder of MHN, announced that he will be sponsoring an annual award to be given to a member organization that has contributed significantly to MHN activities and has shown to be a leader in promoting health and wellbeing of society, especially patients and vulnerable groups.
The Tony Guillaumier Award, an initiative of Mr. Guillaumier himself and entrusted to MHN for 2025 was awarded to the Malta Dementia Society, who had distinguished itself over the previous year. Other nominees were Arthritis and Rheumatism Association Malta (ARAM), Caritas Malta Epilepsy Society and Europa Donna Malta. The winner was awarded a trophy and cash price. All nominees also received cash prices for their contribution to society.
