DESCRIPTION:\n\nCoeliac Association Malta would like to share with you an online course organised by Malta University Consulting: Managing Food Allergies and Coeliac Disease. \n\n\nThis 8.5-hour online course provides practical\, evidence-based on how to: \n\n\na) Understand the difference between food allergies\, intolerances and coeliac disease \n\n\nb) Recognise common allergens and where they may be found \n\n\nc) Read food labels and understand “may contain” warnings \n\n\nd) Reduce the risk of cross-contact during food preparation \n\n\ne) Plan safe and nutritionally balanced allergen-restricted diets \n\n\nf) Recognise the signs of an allergic reaction\, including anaphylaxis \n\n\ng) Understand what to do in an emergency\, including the use of adrenaline auto-injectors \n\n\nh) Communicate confidently and sensitively with people and families living with food allergies \n\n\ni) Promote safety while also supporting inclusion and quality of life \n\n\nSee poster for more information and to register\, please visit: link to registration \n \n\n
