DESCRIPTION:\nAs Malta Health Network we are delighted to share the poster and details for our first webinar\, “The PATIENT TEACHER.”\n\nThis event marks the beginning of a collaboration between the Malta Health Network and the Sociedade Portuguesa de Literacia em Saúde (SPLS) – The Portuguese Society for Health Literacy. Our aim with this webinar is to enhance understanding of the significant role you play as patient teachers. This session is designed to be valuable for both patients and healthcare professionals.\n\nThe Patient Teacher serves as a unique and powerful bridge connecting clinical training with the lived reality of disease\, offering a perspective distinct from that of a patient advocate.\n\nThe webinar will take place on Tuesday\, 24th June 2025\, at 18:30 (Lisbon time) / 19:30 (CET – Malta time).\n\nOur speakers will be Patient Teachers\, as outlined in the attached poster. Following their presentations\, we will hold a discussion addressing the following key questions:\n\n1. What kind of value can patients bring to science and academia?\n2. What are the facilitators and barriers to the success of patient teachers?\n3. What content can patients contribute to education?\n4.
